Lumbar Disc Herniation FAQ's |
How long will it take to get better? |
It all depends on the diagnosis. Some doctors will give questionable diagnosis for disc herniation for their patients. It is not easy to pinpoint the diagnosis for low back pain. However, the truth is that we often encounter patients being miss diagnosed for their disc herniation. Patient will often feel relief after two or three treatments. However, the prognosis may vary depending on the condition of the patients and the symptoms.
Will the Herniated Disc disappear if treated? |
What is most important is to feel relief from the symptoms and getting back to your normal activities. Disc herniation or bulging of the disc will not always disappear even if it’s been treated properly. The MRI may not show the disappearance of buldging disc, however, patients should not be discouraged. Patients will usually feel better after several sessions of chiropractic treatment.
Will my symptom of Disc herniation return?

Symptom caused by the herniated disc may recur. However, at our clinic,
patients are educated for their prevention of their symptom so they do
not have to be the victims of the pain again. Temporary relief is not what
we are trying to accomplish. Our clinic puts strong emphasis on preventing
them.
Is it effective for all kinds Disc Herniation?

Most of our patients will feel better after being treated. However if the symptom is caused by some serious disease, or symptom persists for a long period of time, we will refer our patients to other medical clinics.
